Today, I received a notice from my child's school that my children will be prohibited from all sports and extra-curricular activities as of tomorrow unless the school fees are paid. Along with this mail, I receive three notices from my bank that three checks have not cleared, the fees the bank is charging me for this fact. I note that payday is not until Friday. The landlord is holding my rent check that was due the first of the month until this payday. So, when that check clears, the bank fees are paid, and I pay the utility bill, there will be no money for car payment, no one month overdue, no food money, no gas money, etc. etc.
Income tax time has rolled around again, and once again the Florida Department of Revenue will miss its opportunity to intercept the refund check that will go to my kid's dad.
